The New York Academy of Sciences is on the 40th floor of 7 World Trade Center, and once a year they host a structural biology discussion group where people from the area can talk about recent findings. Liang gave a talk on a recent paper that came from our lab on one of my labmates projects, so we all went downtown to hear him speak about it… but mostly to experience THE VIEW!
The first is looking north towards Columbia. The Hudson is on your left, and you can see the Empire State building in the distance. The second is looking East towards Brooklyn and you can see City Hall straight ahead. So pretty.
And the view at the end of the day… again looking north. The Empire State Building was yellow that night.
