>memories make their way around the globe.

>i am preparing coffee cups numbers 4-6 since 3pm (this is terrible, i know) but it’s such a comfort! and as i was just preparing the second half-pot, i had a lovely little memory of being invited up to the Rebers’ home for dinner when i was at kijabe, along with many other singles on staff, around Christmas time. Jill made the BEST CUP OF COFFEE, and i asked her “how??” and she smiled and said “put a teaspoon of cinnamon in the grounds.”

currently brewing in NY, NY:
half-caf (regular french vanilla grounds mixed with Dunkin’ Donuts Decaf), with a splash of ground cinnamin, to be combined with hazelnut creamer. if only i had whipped cream to top off my cuppa…. =)

ok, so its a strange blend of flavors, i will admit. but if it gets me through this grant proposal, it will have succeeded! =D

by the way, this grant proposal is for future research stemming from the observations of mechano-induced Src kinase activation and subsequent Twist expression leading to mid-gut differentiation in drosophila development. Twist expression has been implicated in the epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition of many tissues, which  at later time points is likely a first step in cancer metastasis. JEALOUS?  😉
