>NYC to DC

>i went to Washington DC with my fellowship group this weekend. we explored downtown on saturday, saw the White House, and i got to see a few of the memorials, which was cool. The WWII would’ve been prettier if the fountains were running, but it was very, VERY cold. The reflecting pool between the WWII and Lincoln memorials was frozen solid, so we had a jolly time walking between them! =)

 
 

we stayed in a house that had 14 toilets… and a full pool in the basement. A room for their grand piano… a room for their pool table… a room for their weightlifting and treadmills… a kitchenette in the basement, fireplaces galore…. a huge kitchen…  amazing. And so gracious of them to vacate their home so we could have a weekend away from the city, together!

Some of us went on a hike saturday morning before heading into the city. we walked along the Potomac, and it was SOOO BEAUTIFUL! here’s a group shot:
